Make Magic: What Are The Tools To Create It?
We are all connected in the universe through energy; magic is the art of transforming that energy and using it to our advantage, creating incredible possibilities that fill us with light, love, and abundance.
It is a bridge between the spiritual and the material, between desire and manifestation; through magic, we can attract beneficial things into our lives, but for its power to manifest, we need to rely on tools that enhance our intention and guide our energy.
Today, I want to teach you the meaning of each tool and how to use them.
Candles
Light is a path and an invitation to welcome something new. Each candle is a light of intention that opens a portal, depending on what you desire. For this, the color of the candle is key in every magical ritual. For example, white candles are useful for purification and peace, green ones help us manifest prosperity, and red is for passion.
When working with candles, remember that the intention you set when lighting them will be the core of the ritual: close your eyes, hold the candle between your hands, and focus on your desire. Allow the candle’s flame to act as a transmitter, carrying your energy to the universe.
Plants and Herbs
Plants contain the spirit of the Earth and its healing energy. They offer us their power and blessings to heal our body, soul, and mind.
They have been companions to humanity since time immemorial, and in magic, they hold a special place. Each plant carries a unique energy, ready to help us with our magical intentions.
Some of the most common herbs and their magical uses include rosemary, which is perfect for energetic cleansing, protection, and purifying spaces; white sage, which deeply purifies, eliminating dense energies and creating space for the new.
Basil is a plant that attracts abundance, love, and success; lavender calms the mind and promotes peace and spiritual relaxation; and rue protects against negative vibrations and enhances energetic health.
There are various ways to use them in magic: you can burn them as incense, place them in magical sachets, infuse them in water for baths, or use them as offerings on altars. However you use them, always work with respect for nature and thank the plants for sharing their energy with you.
Incense
Our ritual space is sacred, so we must purify it. When incense is lit, it releases aromatic smoke that not only purifies the air but also raises the vibrations of the space. It is like a prayer that ascends to the universe, carrying your intentions with it.
You can use different types: sandalwood promotes meditation and spiritual connection; cinnamon attracts prosperity and success; rose incense fosters love and harmony, while myrrh incense enhances protection and purification.
Aromas help connect all our senses. Choosing the right one will guide your magic toward the desired goal. Each fragrance has a unique purpose, and when you light the incense, you allow the air to carry your intention to the universe.
Oils
Oils are a special liquid that serves as vehicles for concentrated energy. For magic, we can use various oils prepared with herbs, flowers, and essences, each with a specific intention.
Their use will also depend on the magic you are creating. Some of the most used oils in magic include rose oil, ideal for works related to love and emotional connection; lavender oil, which promotes peace, relaxation, and healing; and rosemary oil, perfect for purification and protection.
You can prepare your own magical oils by mixing base oils (such as olive or almond oil) with herbs and essences. Use them to anoint candles, magical tools, or even your wrists to carry their energy with you throughout the day.
Remember, each of these elements contains the energy of the four essential elements of magic. Fire is represented by the candles, Earth by the plants and herbs, Air by the incense smoke, and Water by the oils and essences.
Working with these tools not only enhances your rituals but also connects you to the primordial forces of the universe. Always do so with respect, gratitude, and the right energies to attract light and goodness into your life.
